I was so happy to be able to capture this special day for Stephanie and Christian. We started out our day at the beautiful LDS Temple in Redlands.

I love having the chance to take wedding pictures at different locations. We stopped in down-town Riverside at the Courthouse for some formal portraits.

Somehow, I always end up in an alley snapping pictures! After that, it was time for their reception. It was at the Riverside Art Museum which was just lovely, of course.

Then there was dancing and cake!

I love shooting families at the beach. It is just such a great spot for happy children, especially when they are on vacation and headed to Disneyland in the morning! One type of session can't be rescheduled due to weather, a belly session. This baby is set to arrive in just a few short weeks, and the weather this week has been promising rain for us. The storm chased us the whole time shooting and by the end, we were shooting in the rain, but we had a lot of fun and got some great images!

I love it when families are visiting from out of state and take the time in the vacation for a family session. This family came from a visit from Oregon. It had been raining a lot here, and I was worried about scheduling the session, especially with their little ones in such cold and raining weather. Luckily, the rain stop the day we had scheduled the session, but it was cold, I was freezing, but they thought it was a nice day.

I love it when you can see the love in new parents! These two were great. Despite the surprise heat wave, I had a blast photographing this couple. I love that we went to the same field where they had their done their wedding portraits, and that dad brought the same hat and shirt he wore on that special day!

Here is Jakers, on his first day back at speech pre-school. He wanted his first day of school pictures, so he got them. I get emails about how I get my kids to pose and smile for me. My big secret, which works for me, is I let them pick out some poses, looks... and then I take the pictures they want and I even print their favorite, which aren't always my favorite, for their rooms. Mattie has even taken to telling me how to process her pictures, lol!
But here are Jakes, you can tell which were his and idea, and then the one he did for me :)

Well, it happened again, I am late. I so behind on blogging. This past weekend we went to see the Tall Ships at Dana Point. I love to go and watch the ships.

Mr Jake, loves to steal tomatoes from my veggie garden. He will often pick the most ripe, yummy ones around 4 pm, then at 5 when I am starting dinner, and I go to get a tomato or two, he giggles and said he ate the really big red one! He will kill the tomato, eating it like an apple, and finishing the whole thing.

This little man, was so funny. He is a huge super hero fan. Last year we did his pictures being superman, this year, Clark Kent. These were his idea, and I love all of his different looks h would give me. You can see a smidgen of his superman costume under his shirt, he was just getting news of a damsel in distress.

I love photographing families at the beach. The little ones have an easy place to play in between shots (the beach) and its pretty easy to stay clean, now I did not say dry. The water was pretty tempting to these little ones, but they were ready to sit for me when it was time.

I love sleeping little ones. So peaceful. These were taken a while before sunrise the other day. I went to check on him, and well it was just so cute, that I had to grab my camera. My shutter clicks are so loud that I only snapped these two, for fear he would wake up too early and be up all day long. He loves his 'buzz bear' and sleeps with him most nights.

I a so behind on blogging, it is sad. But somehow, I have managed to keep doing {mine on mondays} posts, I don't think I have missed a monday yet---major miracle.
This weekend we went to the Angels Game and sadly, they have decided to enforce their 'no professional' camera equipment. So my only pictures are from before we entered, and the sad thing about this rule is I had no intention of taking pictures of the game, just of my kiddos. My hubs was kind enough to walk my camera back to the car :( But the game was fun and the angels won, in the bottom of the 10th with a grand slam!!!

I love little house on the prairie, Ive loved it forever. I was Laura Ingalls for Halloween, more than once. I still have the costume that my mom made for me. So of course I took Miss Mattie out for a shoot, now that she can fit the dress.

Mr Jakers woke up on Saturday asking to have his picture taken on dark blue. Well, I don't have a 'real' dark blue background, so I put up my favorite suede grey. He was not happy with this. So I found some royal blue swaddling material I use on newborns and hung it up and Jake had his dark blue background. And then I go and make them black and white, he will not be please with this, but I love the feel of the black and white.

Did you know there is no smiling in ballet? And on a side note, just yesterday she was just a baby and now she is well not so little any more. On saturday we went down to the beach, and I just knew it would be great timing to get some shots of my kiddos. I had hope to use these for their Valentine's Day cards, but it was slighty chilly, and so I did not have overly willing models :( So good thing Valentine's is a ways off, we will have to try again.

My grandparents have a ranch/farm of sorts. Growing up they had all different animals. Now they just have chickens. Well we went to visit them yesterday and Jakey found an egg! So right then and there, we decided we would use that egg to make cookies after church today. So that is just what we did. So that explains the picture he had to have with the egg yolk, the other picture he had to have was the one with just his eyes! So silly, but he is a great cook.

Maternity pictures can be so much fun, but sometimes if you are 2 and your whole world is about to change, the must have belly pictures might not make your list! This little guy wasn't so sure about this whole thing. He ended up doing just great, but all that talk about baby sister was getting old. Nemo is what he would rather talk about!!

The cupcake, in case you are wondering, was a must when we walked right by the bakery. This mom had already planned the birth announcement and 1st birthday party which will both include a cupcake theme! So of course cupcakes were a part of the belly pictures.
